Smile

Well, since Jack has been born he has been smiling in his sleep all the time, but the other day was the 1st time he smiled while he was awake! I want to say it was this past Wednesday, and even though he was smiling at the towels that were laying on the other end of the couch-it was the cutest thing ever! Then on Wednesday night Nick and I had him on his stomach for "tummy time" and he rolled right over onto his back! I know he probably did not mean to do it, but I still feel the need to brag. The day after his 1st smile and 1st roll he smiled at me whenever he was awake, and I have to say it was cuter when he smiled at me than when he was smiling at those towels. He is doing well though. He is starting to have longer periods of being awake too. He is doing okay at night-still giving me about 2 1/2-3 hours of sleep at a time and I am actually getting use to it! (Not saying I like it, but at least I am not a complete zombie all day!) I do look forward to the day when we can all sleep through the night again, but until then there is always late night TV!

2 weeks 4 days

Well, this is the 1st blog about Jack. Hopefully I will be able to keep up with it so that I can keep everyone up to date on his progress. Jack is mostly over his jaundice. His eyes still aren't as white as they will be, but the doctor said that he looks good. I took him to his 2 week check-up yesterday and not only has he gone back to his birth weight but he has almost gained another pound! So, he weighs 7 pounds 12 ounces and he is 21 1/4 inches long. He was 6 pounds 14 oz and 19 1/2 inches long at birth. Almost a pound and 2 inches in 2 weeks! He is going to be a big boy just like Uncle Tres!
