Happy 1st Birthday!!

Today is Jack's birthday! Happy Birthday Jack!! We had to go to his 1 year appointment this morning. He weighs 22 pounds and he is 30 inches tall!! He is doing really well. He still doesn't see the need in walking, and he is saying "mama" and said "airplane" too. He had to get 4 shots and get his blood drawn, but we had cake after dinner! It was so funny..he didn't really want to eat the cake-just squish it in his hands. Daddy had some fun with the icing giving Jack a nice beard and eyebrows. Here are just a few pictures-I will add more later when all the grandparents get here and get to play with cake too!

Jack at 11 months

I forgot to say that Jack went to the doctor the other day and his ear infection is all gone, and he weighs over 21 pounds now! He is thinking about walking, but I think he is just content to get around by crawling for now. He only eats big people food, and feeds himself all the time. Daddy doesn't like him feeding himself because he can make quite a mess, but the dogs help clean it up!July is a busy month for us too. Nick is testing for Staff(so keep him in your prayers on the 23rd!), I am turning 23, and Jack is turning 1 year old! His birthday is coming up soon, so I'll have to put some pictures up when he gets in his cake! We are just going to have a small family party with a couple of close friends and grandparents, but there will be cake! Here are a few pictures from over the last month.

Jack at 11 months

Jack said his 1st word last night!! He said Mama. He has been saying it for about a week now, but I thought he was still babbling. Last night while Nick was feeding him, he asked where Mama was and Jack would look at me, and then asked Jack who I was and he said Mama over and over. It was s sweet! He has also started clapping and I have a video of that, and he is dancing too. I will try and record him doing that too because it is so funny! I have new pictures as well, but I will have to find the camera before I can post them. Enjoy the video though!

Update!

Well, I am sorry that it has been so long since I have updated on anything. We are all back home and almost all settled in. Jack went to his 9 month appointment last month and he was 19 3/4 pounds, 27 1/2 inches, and he is doing great. In the past month sicne we have been home he has been scooting, started crawling properly(on hands and knees), he pulls himself up, he is cruising(walking along the length of the furniture), and he is eating more and more table foods because he has a grand total of 4 teeth! We are all glad Daddy has made it home safely and Jack cannot get enough of his Daddy. He also goes and plays with his friend Joseph, but they still have not mastered the friend part of it. He turns 10 months old tomorrow, and he is moving so fast we can barely keep up!! Here are a few new pictures since we've been home. I'm sorry that they are all out of order, but there are pictures of Joseph pushing Jack in the car, of our day at Sea World, Daddy's homecoming, the big boy cruising around, and a few of his new toys. I will try and do better about updating more often! Love to all!

Today was Jack's 6 month check-up. He actually turned 6 months on the 31st though. He weighs 16 pounds 5 ounces and he is 26 inches long now! He is turning into a big boy. The doctor said everything looked great though. He also got his shots today, and so now he is feeling a little down but he should bounce back in a couple of days. We are here in Florida now. We've been here at Nana's and PawPaw's for a few weeks, and Nick has been deployed for the same amount of time. We really miss Daddy, but we are getting by day by day. Jack amazes me more and more each day. He is not only rolling over, but he is rolling to get whatever grabs his attention now. He wanted the video camera so he rolled over about 3 times just to get next to it! He also loves his jumper, but he loves his feet the most! He also is now on formula, and he is starting on baby food as well. He does not like peas, but I think carrots and sweet potatoes are his favorite so far out of the vegetables! That is all for now, but I will try and post more frequently since we are settled in now.

5 months old

Jack is getting so big! He is 5 months old, and we had a wonderful Christmas and New Years! Jack received so many gifts that we had to seperate them into a few days, but he enjoyed every chance he could get at the wrapping paper! There isn't much to report other than he is rolling over from his back to his tummy the other day, but other than that he is continuing to "talk" more and more every day and work out his muscles! We are getting ready to see everyone in Florida, and it is bittersweet for us but I am sure there are a lot of people wanting to spend time with Jack! Nick is leaving sometime next week, and if anyone wants his e-mail or mailing address let me know because I am sure he will appreciate notes from home!
